A one-piece polished metal stem that offers strain relief for your cord, this component will definitely catch the eye of everyone who sees your new fixture. The 6" Stem Cord Grip is a great option for anyone wanting to add more modern finish or experiment with metal tubing in your design. Plus, it is compatible with our sockets and 18g DIY cloth covered wire. 

Please note that while we are happy to help advise you on the parts that we offer, we always recommend that you consult an electrician if you have any questions about your individual project needs. 

If you are interested in the Raw Metal Finish, be aware that it is intended to oxidize and will rust. This works best with industrial & up-cycled applications. However, when cleaned and sanded, this is also the best finish to paint.

    Worked well for my project.

    Worked well for my project. However, passing the fabric cord through was a bit tricky, the stem was too tight so I had to remove some of the fabric and hide the stripped part of the wire in the stem. But overall the end result looks great and more refined ! I'm glad I ordered it.

    For your next project try some masking tape wrapped tightly around the cord to help with passing through tight areas like cord grips, but really you did a fabulous job all on your own! Looks great.

    I am SO happy with

    I am SO happy with this light. It blew my expectations out of the water. Being able to design the light myself was great but, knowing my money was going to a small company was better. Didn’t even know until I opened the box thanking me for my purchase along with pictures of the staff and their dog(s). Great product and will be using Color Cord for any lighting needs. ☺️️
