Each Modern Science fixture is handmade to order in collaboration with the artist. Please allow 2-3 weeks for production, separate from the shipping speed. If additional production time is required, we’ll notify you promptly.

About the Artist

Amanda K. Woodcock is the founder of Modern Science Project, where she blends her expertise as a potter, glass artist, product designer, and mechanical engineer to create funky yet functional iridescent pottery and glassware. Using computer-aided design (not AI!) and 3D printing, she meticulously crafts the forms that shape the molds for each piece. From there, every item is hand-cast, sponged, seamed, glazed, and fired twice, ensuring a truly one-of-a-kind creation. With a passion for innovation and artistry, Amanda’s work brings a playful yet refined touch to everyday objects.

Like many of our fixtures, this small, flush-mounted light is made to order in Denver, Colorado. We do require some extra time for production and your order won’t ship out until it’s complete — which can take up to three weeks.
