Offering the lowest profile of all the cord grips, the barrel cord grip is a one-piece strain relief that grips the cord and connects it firmly with the socket. Cord grips are an important part of the fixture assembly process, and this one is compatible with all our sockets and 18g cloth covered wire. This plastic version has 1/8 IPS threading and a small set screw to secure the cord. In addition to pairing with our sockets, the clear version is also a great option to help secure your plug end to the cord as well. If you are wanting to match the grip with a metal canopy or socket cover, be sure to check out the metal version of this style too.

I like that the grub screw that holds the cord in place becomes totally flush with the outside housing when fully tightened down. I found having a wrench was useful for fully threading it into the socket or plug. I’ll definitely buy more of these.
