What’s the ideal length for a plug-in pendant light?

You’ll need to take into consideration the distance from the plug to the ceiling, the distance from the ceiling to where the light bulb would hang, and the added dimensions of any additional accessories, like lamp shades or bulb cages.

If you have plans to arrange your cord along a wall or along the floor, you’ll also need to accurately measure these dimensions to ensure you have enough. We always recommend buying a few extra feet to mitigate errors, as you can easily rewire the sockets as needed.

Can you get more than 15 feet of cord for this socket pendant light cord kit?

Our plug-in light cord kit comes with 15 feet of cord included. However, if you don’t think that’s long enough, you can always hit the Customize button to modify any part of this fixture.
